Trash Your Toxic Suntan Lotions

Sunny days  will be here soon and I wanted to take a moment to educate those who are scared to death of the so-called harmful effects of sunlight. It really irks me to see people lather their skin with toxic lotions to “protect” their skin from the radiation of the sun. To understand the myths surrounding sunlight, I would like to refer the readers to the following article.

To understand better the importance of Vitamin D and see a list of books about the topic please read this article.

To make sure your suntan lotion or any other cosmetic product does not contain toxic materials, please check out this website.

Moderation is the key here. So don’t go out frying yourself under the sun during peak hours of mid-summer. 30-60 minutes a day of sunlight is sufficient. Also, high intake of antioxidants will increase your skin’s resistance to any potential sunburn and will give you a nice glow.

By the way, here’s the Nina Simone version of a song I love :) She’s awesome!

Have a blessed day!

Understanding Antioxidants and why they are Important

I recently read an excellent article that explains free radicals and the defense against them called Antioxidants. The article explains the concept concisely and in layman’s terms. I urge anyone who wants to understand what makes us age and how to minimize its effects to read this article. You will definitely benefit from it. Just to highlight the importance of antioxidants, here’s a quote from the article “The amount of antioxidants that you maintain in your body is directly proportional to how long you will live” Dr. Richard Cutler, Director of Anti-Ageing Research Department of the National Institute of Health, Washington, D.C.

Incidentally, the article is published on www.NaturalNews.com which is operated by Mike Adams. I consider Mike Adams my virtual mentor and have the highest regard for this man. His altruism and shrewdness in attaining what benefits humanity is truly remarkable.

I think I finally found my “Meal in a Bar”. I have been yearning to find a bar that doesn’t have a single gram of offensive ingredient in it. The other day, I had ordered some Himalayan salt and Crystal Manna from Ancient Sun Nutrition. They were very generous and included samples of their Wildbar, which I had heard of but hadn’t had the chance to try it. When I opened the box I was so pleasantly surprised. I immediately opened one and took a bite. It hit the spot since I hadnt had lunch today and it was 4 pm. I was feeling a bit hungry. It felt so good knowing that I was nourishing my body with 100% organic and raw blessing from The Lord. I decided to share this experience with my blog visitors and let them know how delicious and nutritious this bar is. Check it out on the WildBar website.

LicketyShip provides courier-service shipping. Its prices are comparable to, and often less than, companies like FedEx, UPS, and DHL. Basically, LicketyShip acts as a aggregator of multiple couriers: it’s researched couriers’ reputations and prices for you.

When you want to ship something, go to LicketyShip’s site to enter what you need delivered, where, and when, and it helps you select the best courier. Then you place an order with a credit card. You can even track your delivery just like with the big boys/girls.

Currently, they only service the California metropolitan areas.

The Secret of Nutrition

I am a firm believer of the saying “You are what you eat.” The essence of the article in the link below states that your nutritional intake not only affects your body but also your mind and spirituality. I have sat with and listened to several spiritual leaders who all had similar messages to give. In one part of this article Mike Adams writes, “You’ll also come to recognize why the great spiritual leaders throughout the world all gravitate towards similar diets that are free of certain substances (such as red meat).” The content of this article resonates with me. Read it to see if it does with you as well. Here’s the link to the article.

Why microwaving kills your food (and your health)

The rise of widespread nutritional deficiencies in the western world correlate almost perfectly with the introduction of the microwave oven. This is no coincidence. Microwave ovens heat food through a process of creating molecular friction, but this same molecular friction quickly destroys the delicate molecules of vitamins and phytonutrients (plant medicines) naturally found in foods. One study showed that microwaving vegetables destroys up to 97% of the nutritional content (vitamins and other plant-based nutrients that prevent disease, boost immune function and enhance health).
