A 2006 study* showed that elderly Japanese people who drank more than 2 cups of green tea a day had a 50% lower chance of cognitive impairment than those who drank less green tea, or who consumed other tested beverages. The high amount of catechins in green tea are believed to be responsible.

Nutrition is one of the key elements to ensure your child’s brain develops to its full potential. Blueberries are one way to see to it that children get their “brain-food”. Blueberries are palatable to the munchkins’ taste and they are abundant in nature at every mother’s disposal.
The antioxidants in blueberry are known to activate two brain-protective enzymes, catalase and superoxide dismutase. These critical enzymes keep neurons from begin deactivated after being attacked by free radicals. Blueberries have much more to offer than their antioxidant content.

I am very impressed with the Ormus Green product I have recently started adding to my smoothies. It tastes great and consists of pristine, mineral-rich organic greens. It is a perfect companion in a smoothie with the Rice Protein that is also made by Sun Warrior. Several people I respect have been raving about Sun Warrior and their products. I consume their Rice Protein and give them thumbs up. I urge you to give them a try, especially if you perform regular athletic training. Read the review by Mike Adams to learn more about Ormus Greens. Moreover, the Green Smoothie Girl is currently running a special where if you order the Rice Protein from her site, she will throw in her Protein Shakes Recipe Collection free.

To your health!

Mike Adams has been running a series titled "How to Heal Yourself in 15 Days " that I find to be very beneficial for many. He takes a day-by-day approach of how to heal yourself and get you up and running with natural remedies that our Maker all provided for us in creation. Of course, this kind of change requires a change in the philosophy of how we see ourselves and what affects our well-being.

Beware consumer! Watch this video to get an idea of what the word “enriched” really represents on food labels. We all know by now that we should be reading labels. Don’t we? But what about understanding them? Read the rest of this entry »

Sunny days  will be here soon and I wanted to take a moment to educate those who are scared to death of the so-called harmful effects of sunlight. It really irks me to see people lather their skin with toxic lotions to “protect” their skin from the radiation of the sun. To understand the myths surrounding sunlight, I would like to refer the readers to the following article.

To understand better the importance of Vitamin D and see a list of books about the topic please read this article.

To make sure your suntan lotion or any other cosmetic product does not contain toxic materials, please check out this website.

Moderation is the key here. So don’t go out frying yourself under the sun during peak hours of mid-summer. 30-60 minutes a day of sunlight is sufficient. Also, high intake of antioxidants will increase your skin’s resistance to any potential sunburn and will give you a nice glow.

By the way, here’s the Nina Simone version of a song I love :) She’s awesome!

Have a blessed day!

I recently read an excellent article that explains free radicals and the defense against them called Antioxidants. The article explains the concept concisely and in layman’s terms. I urge anyone who wants to understand what makes us age and how to minimize its effects to read this article. You will definitely benefit from it. Just to highlight the importance of antioxidants, here’s a quote from the article “The amount of antioxidants that you maintain in your body is directly proportional to how long you will live” Dr. Richard Cutler, Director of Anti-Ageing Research Department of the National Institute of Health, Washington, D.C.

Incidentally, the article is published on www.NaturalNews.com which is operated by Mike Adams. I consider Mike Adams my virtual mentor and have the highest regard for this man. His altruism and shrewdness in attaining what benefits humanity is truly remarkable.

I think I finally found my “Meal in a Bar”. I have been yearning to find a bar that doesn’t have a single gram of offensive ingredient in it. The other day, I had ordered some Himalayan salt and Crystal Manna from Ancient Sun Nutrition. They were very generous and included samples of their Wildbar, which I had heard of but hadn’t had the chance to try it. When I opened the box I was so pleasantly surprised. I immediately opened one and took a bite. It hit the spot since I hadnt had lunch today and it was 4 pm. I was feeling a bit hungry. It felt so good knowing that I was nourishing my body with 100% organic and raw blessing from The Lord. I decided to share this experience with my blog visitors and let them know how delicious and nutritious this bar is. Check it out on the WildBar website.

I must admit some people desperately need this advice. I think reading this link will have tremendous value for some who suffer from this offense. I am just trying to help.
